Mike Labun

Over the course of his career, Mike has taught over 600 people to mediate – many of whom are still practicing mediation today. He believes mediation succeeds when the mediator focuses on helping the parties communicate constructively, expressing their needs and listening to each other. In addition to his role as a mediator and facilitator with ACHIEVE, he is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba and has worked as a board chair, senior mediator and facilitator for other organizations in Manitoba.

Mike’s educational background includes a degree in Psychology and extensive mediation training including a 22-day certificate in mediation skills. He is the curator of ACHIEVE Training Center’s Mediation workshop and the author of many other workshops. He has spent time mediating all kinds of conflicts, but lately he has focused on workplace situations and families. Mike has been a mediator for more than 20 years.
