Eric Stutzman

Eric believes that mediation succeeds when the mediator listens deeply and focuses on the delivering process for the participants. He has been active in the field of mediation for more than 20 years and holds a Chartered Mediator designation. As Managing Director of ACHIEVE, Eric provides leadership for a large team of staff and consultants. In this capacity, he directs the development and delivery of ACHIEVE’s mediation and facilitation services. In addition to his role with ACHIEVE, he is currently the president and chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba and has worked as a partner in a conflict management firm, a senior mediator, board chair, trainer and lead negotiator for other organizations in various parts of Canada.

Eric’s educational background includes a degree in Sociology with a focus on mediation and peacemaking and a 27-day certificate in mediation skills.

Eric is a contributing author to ACHIEVE’s Conflict Resolution Skills and Mediation workshop materials. His mediation specialties include workplace situations, restorative justice and faith group conflict.
