John Neufeld, Trainer with ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance

John has served in leadership roles both in the private and public good sector for over 20 years. He is presently the Executive Director of House of Friendship, a multi-service social agency in Waterloo Region. Passionate about leadership, he is constantly seeking ways to grow in leadership while also developing others in their leadership. John holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Social Work. His strong leadership background combined with his engaging presentation style creates an informative and challenging learning environment.

This retreat focuses on the two questions all great leaders ask themselves continuously:  Am I a leader worth following?  Am I building a team that will last?  The challenge of leadership is to continue to grow in your competency, commitment, and character while simultaneously ensuring that your team is engaged, empowered, and equipped. This retreat will be a time for you to reflect on your own leadership and develop insights and tools to become a more effective leader.

Registration Information

Register early! Seating is limited.

Children and unregistered guests are not permitted in the meeting rooms.

The early registration rate is available for those participants who submit both their registration form and payment 3 weeks before the workshop.

Participants will receive a spiral bound training manual and a certificate of completion.

Workshop Schedule

The workshops start at 9:00 a.m. and conclude around 4:00 p.m. Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. on the first day to check in and receive a training manual. Regular breaks are scheduled throughout the day. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m., unless otherwise stated above. Our half-day workshops start at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 12:00 p.m.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled seven or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively, you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than seven days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify ACHIEVE of the name and email address of the alternate person who will be attending.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel and accommodation arrangements with this in mind.

Group Registration Instructions

To register a group for a workshop, register for selected workshop, then once in shopping cart, add quantity of participants and provide names of all participants.
