Workshop Description

In the absence of intentional coaching, employees often lack the support they need to develop and perform at their highest levels. Effective leaders are skilled at coaching the people they lead to inspire growth, change, and healthy work relationships. This workshop provides a leadership approach for coaching others effectively and provides tools that bring out the best in the people. Through the use of case studies, participants will learn a five-step coaching model for working with their employees to enable changes in behaviour, promote skill development, and resolve conflict.

Portrait of Angie Allan

Angie is a Registered Provisional Psychologist, Consultant, Coach, and Trainer who has enjoyed a career in the operations of various professional services organizations. Angie has helped hire, deploy, manage, and coach teams of people who have worked on projects around the world. As an operations leader, she has developed a nuanced understanding of how to maximize work outcomes while also maintaining a healthy work environment. Her work has included activities to drive employee effectiveness, navigate workplace conflict, and create a culture of emotional intelligence. Angie believes that healthy workplaces grow from groups of people who can clearly articulate the goals of their organization – from individuals who can identify their contribution to those goals, to leaders who can clear the path for employees to achieve those goals. As a trainer, she partners with her learners by taking a curious, non-judgmental, strengths-based approach to support them as they create meaningful and lasting change.
