Workshop Description

In the absence of intentional coaching, employees often lack the support they need to develop and perform at their highest levels. Effective leaders are skilled at coaching the people they lead to inspire growth, change, and healthy work relationships. This workshop provides a leadership approach for coaching others effectively and provides tools that bring out the best in the people. Through the use of case studies, participants will learn a five-step coaching model for working with their employees to enable changes in behaviour, promote skill development, and resolve conflict.

About the Trainer

Eric Stutzman, Managing Director

Portrait of Eric Stutzman, Managing Director

As Managing Director of ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance, Eric provides the overall direction for the development and delivery of ACHIEVE’s workshops and services. He has provided leadership in the field of conflict resolution and mediation since completing a degree in Sociology with a focus on mediation and peacemaking. Eric is a Chartered Mediator and Past President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba.  He has worked as an administrator, board chair, senior mediator, trainer and lead negotiator for other organizations in various parts of Canada. Eric believes that the best leaders and employees turn their minds first to listening with curiosity. He is co-author of the book, The Culture Question, and is the author of many of ACHIEVE’s workshops including Management and Supervision, Coaching Strategies for Leaders and Dealing with Difficult People.  Eric is a gifted trainer who makes training material come alive for participants through humour and real world application.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations cancelled seven or more days prior to the event are refundable, minus a administrative fee. Alternatively, you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than seven days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend the event, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify ACHIEVE of the name of the alternate person.

We reserve the right to cancel events due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of event fees only.

Continuing Education Credit

While many associations and licensing bodies accept ACHIEVE workshops for continuing education credits, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body for which you are requesting the credits. Credit hours: There are six continuing education credits earned for each day of training. For example, a one-day workshop earns six continuing education hours, while a two-day workshop earns 12 hours. A certificate will be awarded upon the completion of the workshop.
