About the trainer
Eric Stutzman, Managing Director
As Managing Director of ACHIEVE Centre for Leadership & Workplace Performance, Eric provides the overall direction for the development and delivery of ACHIEVE’s workshops and services. He has provided leadership in the field of conflict resolution and mediation since completing a degree in Sociology with a focus on mediation and peacemaking. Eric is a Chartered Mediator and currently President of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba. He has worked as an administrator, board chair, senior mediator, trainer and lead negotiator for other organizations in various parts of Canada. Eric believes that the best leaders and employees turn their minds first to listening with curiosity. He is the author of many of ACHIEVE’s workshops including Management and Supervision, Coaching Strategies for Leaders and Dealing with Difficult People. Eric is a gifted trainer who makes training material come alive for participants through humour and real world application.
This workshop will challenge you to think critically about your role in leading through conflict. Join other leaders, human resource professionals and conflict management professionals as we explore tools and strategies for leading through conflict with clarity, understanding and insight. You will learn to use conflict analysis tools to understand complex interpersonal dynamics and team tension so that you can make informed choices for where and when to intervene in a conflict. You will also learn a framework for coaching others through conflict as you explore your own case studies. This session will be of particular benefit for those who frequently work with the complexities of team tension and interpersonal conflict.

The Early Registration rate is available for those participants who submit both their registration form and payment 3 weeks before the workshop.
Participants will receive a spiral bound training manual and a certificate of completion.
The workshops start at 9:00 AM and conclude around 4:00 PM. Please arrive between 8:30 and 9:00 AM on the first day to check in and receive a training manual. Regular breaks are scheduled throughout the day. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM, unless otherwise stated above. Our half day workshops start at 9:00 am and conclude at 12:00pm
Registrations cancelled 7 or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at any time you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify ACHIEVE of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.
We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel arrangements with this in mind.
Group Registration Instructions
To register a group for a workshop, register for selected workshop, then once in shopping cart, add quantity of participants and provide names of all participants.
Continuing Education Credit
Workshop participants receive a certificate indicating credits awarded based on the length and completion of the workshop. A two day workshop earns 12 Continuing Education hours, a one day workshop earns 6 hours and a half day workshop earns 3 hours. While many associations and licensing bodies accept ACHIEVE workshops for Continuing Education Credit, questions about approval should be directed to the specific association or licensing body you are requesting the credits for.
